Moisturizing is one of the most important routines that you probably already employ in your daily skincare routine. However, not all moisturizers on shelves are suitable for your skin. Some have chemicals that end up clogging your skin pores and causing bigger problems such as hormone imbalance. Natural based moisturizers such as body butters are a better bet for your skin. They have immense benefits in keeping our skin moisturized and looking radiant. A common problem that most women have is determining which moisturizer is better for their skin type, be it dry, oily, or normal. A simple solution for that is using natural types of body butter. Shea butter, for instance, balance's production of sebum skins natural protective layer so that it’s just the right amount. Sebum is a natural protective layer that balances things so that your skin is neither too dry nor too oily. Butter has one of the best rate of absorption into the skin. Shea, Cocoa, Almond, Olive, Mango, and Kokum butter readily melt at body temperature and are easily absorbed to moisturize and nourish your skin with natural vitamins and essential fatty acids. Butter plumps and tightens your skin to ward off wrinkles and fine lines. The fatty acids aid in collagen production that makes your skin firm and tight. Other than moisturizing your body, butter is especially beneficial in locking up and retaining moisture in the skin to make it glow. The essential fatty acids found in these kinds of butter form a protective layer that aid in skin moisture retention, giving you longer-lasting protection for dry skin. Lastly, natural types of butter are quite gentle on your skin. They are packed with antioxidants that remove free radical molecules that damage your skill cells and have a calming effect even on all skin types.

Great article! I understand the importance of moisturizing my skin. I have been using mainly coconut and olive oils. Following Ella's recommendation, I will add to my beauty arsenal butters to help with moisture retention.
This is so informative! With this weather, my skin is so dry. Now I have a better idea of which butter to use based on its healing components. :)
