Exfoliation is a simple idea and has long been a trick of the professional Esthetician.
When you exfoliate your skin you buff away the dead skin cells that linger on the top of your face, thereby revealing a glowing layer of fresh, vibrant healthy skin. The layers of new skin that your face produces are smooth and soft, especially helpful if you are troubled by flaky, discolored areas on your face. The most affordable and convenient way to exfoliate is at home with homemade facial scrubs. A scrub containing small, abrasive granules of sugar, crushed walnut shell, or oatmeal can help you whisk away dead skin cells on your face and body.
Here, I would love to share one of my beauty secrets...HIBISCUS!
Hibiscus is rich in antioxidants & vitamin C. It causes a natural sloughing
off of dead skin cells and increases skin elasticity. The Rosehips in this recipe pair wonderfully, as they are also high in vitamin C and add a gentle exfoliating effect.
I create this intense face mask to renew, restore & add a vibrant glow to my
skin. Here is the recipe:
2 Tablespoons dried Hibiscus Flowers
1 Tablespoon dried Rosehips
1/2 Tablespoon Licorice Root Powder
3 Tablespoons Aloe Vera Gel
4 Drops Geranium Essential Oil
First blend the dried herbs to a powder form
Add the licorice root powder
Next add the aloe vera gel
Now add the Geranium essential oil
Mix all ingredients to form a thick paste

Application: 10 minutes, 10 days takes off 10 years!
For best results, thoroughly cleanse your face with warm water; make sure your face is completely clean and free from any oils before you apply this mixture. For a complete facial rejuvenation, I will apply this mask for 10 days in a row, allowing it to sit on my skin for a minimum of 10 minutes. Make sure to avoid contact with the eyes and corners of the nose and mouth.
Apply the mask scrub using your fingertips. Draw small circles with your fingers all over your face to gently buff away the dead skin. Let sit for 10 minutes. Splash your face with cool water, pat dry, and enjoy the healthy look of your radiant complexion. Exfoliating helps keep your best looking skin out in the open where everyone can see it, instead of trapped under a thin layer of dead skin cells that can obscure your natural beauty.
Enjoy Beauties!
